Day 1: Arrive in Baiona
Arrive at the airport and transfer to your accommodation in Baiona, This historic coastal town is known for its medieval forts, fishing harbour, and views over the Cíes Islands.
Overnight: Baiona
Day 2: Baiona to Vigo
Walk from Baiona to Vigo (26km)
Your Camino journey begins along scenic coastal paths and quiet roads. You will pass through beaches and small fishing villages before reaching the bustling port city of Vigo.
Overnight: Vigo
Day 3: Vigo to Arcade
Breakfast: 7 am
Walk from Vigo to Arcade (25km)
As you leave the city of Vigo behind, the route climbs gradually through suburban areas and forested trails. You will descend into the small riverside town of Arcade, famous for its oysters and views over the Vigo estuary.
Afternoon coach transfer: Transfer to Pontevedra (approx. 25min)
Overnight: Pondevendra
Day 4: Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
Breakfast: 7 am
Walk from Pontevedra – Caldas de Reis (23 Km)
You leave Pontevedra and our Camino runs mainly through eucalyptus and pine forests as the last days. Along today’s stage you´ll see many “cruceros”, a very typical Galician monument related to the “Santa Compaña” which is a deep-rooted mythical belief in rural Galicia that denotes the presence of the dead in the world of the living, you must remember that Galicia is a land of “Meigas” (Meiga means witch in Galician)
You’ll go through villages like Santa María de Alba and Agudelo, where you can visit the church of San Martín, dated to the 13th century. Free time in the afternoon to have a walk around Caldas de Reis.

Day 5: Caldas de Reis - Padrón
Breakfast: 7 am
Walk from Caldas de Reis – Padrón (19 Km)
Before leaving Caldas you can visit the church of Santa María de Caldas, with influence of Maestro Mateo, author of the Romanesque masterpiece “El Pórtico de la Gloria” in the Cathedral of Santiago. In the village of Santa Marina de Carracedo you see the church, the parish house and the “hórreos”, typical granaries from Galicia built in wood or stone, raised from the ground by pillars that are mainly used to store potatoes, corn, cereal and to dry meat.
Upon reaching Padrón you have the opportunity to visit this beautiful city, very important in the Camino de Santiago. According to legend, the stone boat carrying the body of St.James arrived at the port of Padrón and from there the remains were transferred by his disciples to its present location, Santiago de Compostela.
Today this region is also well known for the Padrón peppers which grow from May to October. They are small peppers fried in olive oil and the interesting thing about them is that some are spicy and some others not.

Days 6: Padrón to Santiago de Compostela (24km)

Walk from Padrón – Santiago (24 Km)
This is our last stage before reaching our destination. First we’ll pass by Iria Flavia, ancient episcopal see. You can visit the church. Here was born the Nobel laureate Camilo José Cela.
We pass through the villages of A Escravitude, Faramello and Milladoiro before reaching Santiago.
Upon arrival in Santiago, you’ll visit the city, especially the Cathedral and the old town. In the city there are also interesting museums such as the Cathedral Museum, the Pilgrim Museum or you can visit the roof of the Cathedral. Now you can rest in Santiago for 2 nights after a weeks walking.

Day 7: Free Day in Santiago
Breakfast: 7am
Free to Explore the town of Santiago de Compostela.
Spend the days visiting this beautiful city, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Why not visit the market town, Plaza de Abastos or one of its museums e.g. the Museum of Pilgrimages and the Cathedral Museum.

Day 8: Departure
Breakfast: 7am
Free morning in Santiago before your transfer to the airport.
Then it’s time to make your way to the airport for your journey home.
Coach transfer will depart your Santiago hotel to service the recommended flight departure from Santiago.
Transfer Included: Coach transfer time to be advised.

- Dev Skehan and a Uwalk Tour Manager will accompany the group along the Camino, however, please note Walking Notes will be provided with your documents to help you along the way.
- 5 days of self-guided walks to Santiago, averaging approximately 19-25 km per day.
- 7 Nights 2/3* Hotel accommodation with private facilities. We have chosen popular family-run hotels along the route. Accommodation is generally simple, tried and tested and in line with a typical Camino experience, mostly on or beside the Camino route.
- Breakfast is included daily.
- Scheduled Airport Transfers included to connect with the recommended Aer Lingus flight. Transfers required later than the scheduled transfer are available at an additional cost.
- 1 x 20kg Bag transferred daily.

Notes:
- Travel Insurance is compulsory. Proof of travel insurance must be supplied to UWalk, 8 weeks before departure.
- We recommend European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which lets you get healthcare abroad for free, or at a reduced cost, while on holiday. Apply HERE
- Single Trip travel insurance can be purchased HERE.
- Transfers are available on the day of arrival for flights arriving/departing at the same time as the scheduled Aer Lingus flights.
- Rooms are based on twin share. Solo travellers can opt to be paired with other solo travellers for room sharing. Single rooms are generally not available.
- Accommodation is in hotels and pensions with private facilities. We have chosen popular family-run hotels and pensions along the route. Accommodation is simple and follows the character of the area.
- Final payment is due on May 8th, 2026.

Up to 60 days before travel = loss of deposit
60 – 30 days before travel = 50% cancellation charges
30-15 days before travel 75% cancellation charges
Inside 14 days 100% cancellation charges: NO REFUND.
