Immerse yourself in the stunning coastal landscapes of Croatia’s southern Dalmatian Coast. On this 7-night guided walking holiday, you’ll explore ancient walled towns, pine-scented forest reserves, coastal island trails, and local vineyards along the Adriatic Sea.

With a dual-base setup—4 nights in historic Dubrovnik and 3 nights in coastal Orebić on the Pelješac Peninsula—this tour combines coastal hikes, private boat trips, wine tasting, and culture, featuring walks on the island of Korčula and along the historic Ston Walls.

Day 1:

Welcome to Dubrovnik

Arrive at Dubrovnik Airport, where you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred by coach to your hotel in Dubrovnik. Enjoy your first evening strolling through the vibrant coastal surroundings or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 2:

Čilipi Village to Cavtat

  • Walk Description: After a brief orientation meeting with your local mountain guide, our first trek starts in Čilipi Village. We walk through the scenic Konavle countryside along forest trails and flat village tracks to Močići, finishing in the seaside town of Cavtat. (Packed lunch included)

  • Distance & Duration: ~8 km | ~3 hours walking (Max altitude: 170m)

  • Highlights: Konavle Valley countryside, coastal paths, seaside town of Cavtat.

Day 3:

Pelješac Peninsula & The Ston Walls

  • Walk Description: We check out of Dubrovnik and travel north along the coast and across the Pelješac Bridge. We stop at Ston to hike around its 14th-century fortification walls—the longest preserved wall system in Europe—trekking from Veliki Ston to Mali Ston and back. After free time for lunch, we continue to our hotel in Orebić.

  • Distance & Duration: ~5 km | ~2.5 hours walking (Max altitude: 177m)

  • Highlights: Pelješac Bridge views, 14th-century Walls of Ston, coastal drive to Orebić.

Day 4:

Franciscan Monastery & Coastal Orebić

  • Walk Description: Setting off directly from our hotel in Orebić, we hike toward Stanković and ascend toward the 15th-century Franciscan Monastery. Paths wind through olive groves and fig orchards, opening up to panoramas across the Pelješac Channel to Korčula and Mljet islands. We return along the coastal promenade. (Packed lunch included)

  • Distance & Duration: ~16 km | ~6 hours walking (Max altitude: 246m)

  • Highlights: 15th-century Franciscan Convent, olive groves, views of Korčula & Mljet islands.

Day 5:

Korčula Island & Kočje Forest Reserve

  • Walk Description: A private boat takes us from Perna dock across the channel to Korčula Island. We hike inland toward the protected Kočje forest vegetation reserve near Žrnovo, featuring unique rock Formations and dense woodland. In the afternoon, explore the historic Old Town of Korčula before taking the boat back to Orebić. (Packed lunch included)

  • Distance & Duration: ~14 km | ~4.5 hours walking (Max altitude: 227m)

  • Highlights: Private boat transfer, Kočje forest reserve, exploring Korčula Old Town.

Day 6:

Pelješac Vineyards, Wine Tasting & Return to Dubrovnik

  • Walk Description: We embark on a scenic morning hike through the sun-drenched vineyards of the Pelješac Peninsula along flat gravel paths. Our walk concludes at a local winery for a wine-tasting experience highlighting regional varietals like Dingač and Postup. Afterward, we transfer by coach back to Dubrovnik for our final two nights.

  • Highlights: Pelješac vineyard trail, authentic Croatian wine tasting, return to Dubrovnik.

Day 7:

Free Day in Dubrovnik

Spend a full day exploring Dubrovnik at your own pace. Walk the iconic 16th-century city walls, take the cable car up Mount Srđ, or hop on a 10-minute ferry to Lokrum Island to explore its nature reserve, botanical gardens, and peacock-filled paths.

  • Distance & Duration: At leisure (no guided hikes scheduled)

  • Highlights: Dubrovnik Old Town, Lokrum Island, city walls, seaside dining.

Day 8:

Departure

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Dubrovnik Airport for your flight home to Ireland.

What to Pack

  • Footwear: Sturdy, broken-in trail runners or hiking boots with good tread for stony coastal paths and city wall steps.

  • Gear: A 20L–30L day pack, water bottle (1.5L minimum), and swim gear for optional dips in the Adriatic Sea during breaks.
